Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
I greet you all from the International Mission Centre in Krefeld, Germany. We look back to a most blessed weekend when people joined us from all over Europe, right from Finland, Sweden, down to Italy and all neighbouring countries including those from South and Central America and then also from African countries.
We are just so grateful to God Almighty for His Word, His living Word, His revealed Word. To us, it is spiritual food in due season. But there was also one point that we had to emphasise and that goes together with 1st Samuel 15 and with Mathew 7. In Mathew 7:21, we read: “Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”. This utterance has quite a weight.
Today, especially in charismatic meetings, we can hear the song “He is Lord, He is Lord” and men and women act, dress, and believe as they wish, they do not even care for what the Scripture says, they walk in their own ways, but singing “He is Lord, He is Lord” and sometimes ladies, they cannot be sisters, ladies, have dressed on the platform rock and roll style, but still singing “He is Lord”. And then charismatic personalities celebrate themselves, enjoy everything that is going on. In 1st Samuel 15, the prophet of God, Samuel, anointed Saul to be king over Israel. And the message given to him was: “Therefore listen thou to the voice of the words of the Lord”. There was a certain commission given to Saul to perform and then he actually said, in verse 13, “and Saul said unto him (speaking to Samuel), Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.” But he had not, he had not done precisely what the Lord God told him. In verse 11, “…and has not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.”
Here we have something as a lesson for all of us. Are we performing the great commission the way the apostles did, do we even care to do precisely what the Lord said? Even in Mathew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20, when the Lord gave the great commission. If I would ask all the TV evangelists, all charismatic personalities, all who are on the stage today, did you perform Mathew 28 the way the apostle Peter and Philip in Samaria and Paul in Ephesus? Did you have the revelation that the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost is the Lord Jesus Christ? Did you baptise or do you baptise the way our brethren baptised at the very, very beginning? And brothers, you should not take this easy, you should understand that many will come in that day and say, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, have we not done great signs and wonderful things and works in Your name?” Many use the name of the Lord’s to perform signs and wonders and people come by the hundreds and thousands and even reaching a million when someone on the stage claims to perform miracles, and everybody wishes to be healed, that is very natural, but that is not a sign that this man does obey and perform the great commission as did the apostle Peter and especially also the apostle Paul.
And then, beloved brothers, it really hurts me to say this, but it is going to happen, verse 23, “And I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Imagine for one moment, signs and wonders, prophesying, charismatic personalities, mighty meetings, and then, at the end of the day, “I will profess unto them, I never even knew you: depart from me.”
Brothers and sisters, God has sent a prophet in our generation, whether you believe it or not, you will have to answer before God, but there is a promise in God’s Word – Malachi 4:5-6: “I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and dreadful day of the LORD will come.” Mathew 17:11, our dear Lord emphasised and confirmed that promise given in the Old Testament: “Truly Elias shall first come, and restore all things.” Who are you to deny the promise in God’s Word? In Mark 9:12, our Lord again said, “Verily Elias truly shall first come and restore all things.” Will you deny a promise God gave? If I were you, I would not, I would believe. And I would search the Scriptures and also look into what God has done in our time. He chose bro. William Branham as a very special instrument, a man sent from God, with the message of God’s Word to the people of God to bring us back, to bring us back to the very beginning, to the true foundation of the apostles and prophets.
Beloved brothers, especially ministering brethren, it will not be enough to speak about anointing, about miracles, signs, and wonders, not on that day. Saul was convinced that he had done according to what he was commanded, but he did not. Beloved, then we have the statement “And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. For rebellion…(unbelief and disobedience is rebellion against God)…For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, He hath also rejected thee.” My God in heaven, who is going to stand on that day and hear these words “Depart from me you that work inequity.”
I believe we are still in the time of grace and I believe for you, beloved brethren, that the Holy Spirit will come upon you to receive the promised Word for this day before the restoration of all things, now before the Lord returns. May God bless you, may He be with you. To me, I believe to have a responsibility to share the true Word of God without compromise with all the earth. And whoever has an ear let him hear what the Spirit has to say to the churches. He speaks to us today by His holy Word.
May God bless you and be with you in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
